Rapid Italian Volume 1 App Reviews

Very expensive, and not worth it. There are many other "learn Italian" apps that are of much better value. I tried the "free" version...and thought ok, it is more expensive but the trial was for #3 which I thought was a level, but no. If you have even a little basic Italian, then you are beyond this app. Very disappointing!

Ive been enjoying Volume 1 and have found the learning method to be surprisingly effective ... effective enough that Ive gifted the app to family members and am patiently waiting for Italian Volume 2 to be released through iTunes app store.

This is a VERY clever system, but only includes the most basic content. For example, the numbers section only includes 1-10. One can find this level of learning FREE on dozens of podcasts. The trickier numbers are 11 and above. This is strictly travel Italian. You will NOT develop a conversational level of Italian with this app. Unfortunately, there is no level 2 or above. NOT worth $9.95.

As a previous reviewer mentioned you can get this content from a lot of free apps...whats different and cool and "almost" worth the price in this one is the clever way in which the lessons are infused with the music (and the repetition of the phrases). The music is also varying, and some is quite relaxing. All in all its cool, but as I said a little pricey for what you get. If they release a volume two, then I would say if volume 1 & 2 were $10 bucks that would be more appropriate.

This is definitely worth $10. Easy to learn and very convenient.

I used to LOVE this app- I used it on the bus, planes, trains, Etc. But since the last update, once your screen goes to sleep, the app cuts off. So in order to use it, you have to make sure the screen never goes to sleep. It was not this way before. I used to be able to have my phone in my pocket and go about my day with my languages playing in the background. EXTREMELY disappointed, as this app is not cheap, and pretty limited since you only get volume one. As a result, Its no longer convenient to use. Big waste of money. :(

Am I the only one whose app quits when the screen goes to sleep? Any solution?

Stops when screen dims as others have reported and the Bluetooth audio doesn’t work, so you need to use the phone speaker in your car … and you need to wake it up every 3 minutes.

I love the earworms learning systems but the app is a waste of money. It turns off when the device goes to sleep or if you close the window, basically defeating the purpose of listening while you relax or drive or jog, etc because you have to constantly make sure the phone is awake. I had to spend an additional $15 on the audio track for iTunes which provides exactly the same content. Ugh, so frustrating!
